Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh pea shoots
- 2 Tbsp. mild cooking oil
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce or tamari
- 2 Tbsp. water
- Roasted sesame oil
- Rice wine vinegar
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Directions
- Heat the cooking oil in a wok or large frying pan.
- Add minced garlic and sautee over medium flame, being careful not to burn.
- Add rinsed pea shoots and toss gently.
- Combine soy sauce and water, and add combination to greens, covering with a lid for 1 minute to lightly steam greens.
- Add a small splash of rice wine vinegar, and drizzle with sesame oil to taste.
- Garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.
*This preparation complements fish, chicken or tofu dishes beautifully, or can be served over rice or noodles for a light lunch. Serves 4.
**Vegan, Gluten Free (use tamari instead of soy sauce)
